Dr. Vinay Sharma is a radiation oncologist, specializing in the treatment of several solid tumor cancers. His current practice is with a large community hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida (suburban Miami). Dr. Sharma has been in practice for 12 years, since completing his training in Toronto, Canada and Detroit, MI.
Dr. Sharma has been involved with BSNA since the very first annual convention. He attended that first convention and 6 others since then, including the most recent one (2009) in New Jersey, where he gave a talk on prostate and breast cancers. He has also served as the youth committee chair at a previous convention in Michigan.
Dr. Sharma and his wife, Mrs. Priya Sharma, have been life members of BSNA for over 10 years. They have 2 children; daughter Meghna age 9, and son Aneesh age 6. They both attend a prestigious private school in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Sharma and his wife, Mrs. Priya Sharma are both very active in the Indian community in South Florida. Dr. Sharma also serves on the Exec. Comm. of IPOF, the South Florida chapter of AAPI.
